More on the patriotic thing July 21, 2008
I arrived in Northern Ireland a few hours ago, and what do I see on the houses as we drive to where we’re staying: the British flag. Hurrah! Why can’t the UK be like that!

Go to a Republican area and ask for a Union Flag! Northern Ireland is divided in terms of Unionism and Republicanism so one area will be proud to fly the Union flag but some areas will find it offensive.

Oh, I know, I’ve seen the areas waving their Irish flags too, if you go there with the Union Jack, you risk your life!
