All this DRM hoo-ha October 26, 2008

What’s up with all this DRM stuff, why do people complain so much? I mean, I’m not not going to buy Far Cry 2 or Crysis just because Securom is on it, hell, does it make a difference to me? OK, so I can’t lend the game, big deal, I’m sure it’s crackable anyway, and oh wow, I can only have 5 installs. Wait a minute, 5 installs? Do I really need to install it on 5 computers? No. I have a gaming rig, one gaming rig, and that’s all.

Boycotting the game is silly, because it just means your missing out, people will buy it anyway. Almost all the reviews posted by users on IGN or Amazon are giving the game 0/10 or 1/5 stars, because of it’s DRM.

Anyway, I can’t wait till Amazon deliever Far Cry 2 & Stalker Clear Sky which I ordered today, and Fallout 3 after it comes out on the 30th ^^

Oi! B&Q and DFS, I’m looking at you. Your christmas adverts and products make me sick.

In case you didn’t know, christmas is actually in December, not Ocotber, not even November.

Christmas stuff should be banned until December 1st.

Tiscali is the ultimate fail October 12, 2008

Well, all weekend the Tiscali Status page has been stuck on 40% for the internet. Forty percent! What the ****. Why hasn’t it been fixed, last freakin’ update was two days ago, sort it out. Currently, our internet is patchy at best, and was 100% dead last night. In fact, I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to find the fault, hoping for a simple router problem or line problem, but alas, it’s Tiscali and their network made of epic fail.

So there’s really nothing we can do, except sit it out. I’m pushing a move to BT right away though, but of course my tech-nophobe parents think it’s going take hours to setup, when it’s more like 10 minutes, followed by 2 days of waiting.

Oh look, google just opened!

But one minute later, it’s back down.

I really can’t explain how utterly pissed off I am at Tiscali, the service is poor, there’s no updates, and seemingly they don’t give a damn about their customers.

Sort it out.

I… October 8, 2008

…am still alive.

It’s been ages since the last post, I guess I’ve either been really busy, or had nothing much to say. Perhaps a combination of the two?

Anyway, with the world as it is, we’ll all be fighting like cavemen soon, because money is going to become worthless, and we’re all gonna die. At least, that’s what the make-you-live-in-fear-media say.

So yeah… let’s hope the world doesn’t quite collapse, there’s really nothing you or me can do (unless you trade shares? BUY! buy more and more!, like…. billions of $’s worth more please :)).

See you on the other side…
